Jesus said,when the Pharisees {those who were most familiar,with the written word, {logos} but evidently not hearing the spoken {rhema} word desired a sign}, St.Matt.16:2,He replied to them,”When it is evening you say,It will be fair weather ,for the sky is red.3 And in the morning,It will be stormy today for the sky is red and has a gloomy and threatening look,You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky,but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.”{amp.} He went on to say a back-slidden group,needs a brick to fall on their heads,{ my interpretation} Today it seems people,all over the world,sense we are approaching an unprecedented time,such as never before..While the church is busy about establishing ,opportunity’s for wealth to be gained..God does want us blessed,3rd John,verse 2″Beloved,{that’s us} I pray that you may prosper in every way and that your body may keep well even as your soul keeps well and prospers.” Soul, mind,will,and emotions..”Only the soul that is looking to Him,{abiding,trusting,in contact with,} will truly prosper..Jesus said,we cannot serve God and mammon,at the same time..Mammon was a heathen deity,one they looked to,,to prosper them..Our trust must be in Him,,not in buying up gold and stock-piling food and ammo..Remember when Peter and Jesus {yes,He had to function in this realm} had a need for taxes, because Peter was in close fellowship with the Lord,,he ran to Him with the need..Jesus {of course} had the answer..The need was met “super”-”naturally”.The same can happen for us,when we follow this example..And it should be “super” and “natural” for us every time..Praise God!! Grow in grace, [trust and reliance} in the Lord..And I have to ask once again doe’s the” sign” have to be this evident? sis.c
