I wish, I had been older then,
Wiser, is what I mean to say,
I imagine thing’s, I could have done,
In the quiet times, of day,
Times, I should have held my peace,
Just, let the moment pass,
Times, I should have spoken up,
Withstanding, self-proclaimed brass,
There were hand’s, I may have strengthened,
Load’s, I may have eased,
Heart’s, I could have comforted,
Strife’s, perhaps appeased,
A life time, of circumstance,
And countless, opportunities,
Where I, may have made a difference,
Had I gained, maturity,
What I would, I do not do,
To do wrong, comes naturally,
How I long, to just be changed,
To grow-up, finally,
To bear the name, of ‘Christian’,
With grace, and dignity,
To reflect the One, I’m named for,
To lose all sight, of me,
Upon the Rock, I throw myself,
That I, may broken be,
To trust the Potter’s, loving hands,
That work, inside of me.

This is one of your best.
Sadly, maturity takes time and it usually comes to believers who first make a lot of mistakes.
