the Poets Nook,,,Standing,,,

All alone, upon the hill,,,Left to stand, it stands there still,,,

With none to left, with none to right,,, It stands there, a most lonesome sight,,,

The season now, is Winters rest,,,The standing one, does not protest,,,

For soon to follow, Spring will come,,,With dancing rain, and sparkling sun,,,

Then bursting forth, with all it’s might,,, New buds, new leaves,a welcome sight,,,

To usher Summer, into place,,,To offer shade, for up turned face,,,

We find it next, in Autumn’s scene,,,Where shades of red, replace the green,,,

Then all alone, upon the hill,,,Left to stand, it stands there still,,

The seasons of life, have one thing in common, they all pass.I hear many people sharing how they feel incredibly alone, unsure, and are questioning.  But feelings and appearances can be,{and usually are} deceptive.  The word of God,also called the word of Truth,is the one sure foundation,we can base our feelings and lives on.

That sure and unchanging word tells us the Lord has said,”I will never leave you nor forsake you.”No matter how we “feel”,we are not, and will not be, left alone.I am not just writing to who so ever reads this. I am writing for my own benefit,I need to hear this and be daily established in this promise also.  He is faithful in keeping His promise’s to us.

Ephesians chapter 6 speaks a lot about “standing”.Speaking to the believers of the great battle,we are in. That battle is remaining in faith,so we can stand. {faith=steadfast trust in,and reliance on the Lord}The text names the different elements of the believers armor, which enable us to stand.Center most in the teaching is the word of God.Not only must we know the word, but then we are to stand on that word.Stand, to be in a position to move or”act”, not sitting or laying, but standing. The second most mentioned point is prayer, [or the functioning of the trust and reliance,] the “action” of our armor.

You see we are not only in a battle to keep the ground we have taken, but to go forward and take ground for the Kingdom. That ground is the hearts and souls of the ones our Lord gave His life for. Jesus taught us to pray,”Thy Kingdom come and Thy will be done in earth,as it is in heaven.”His will is that none should perish,be lost an not spend eternity with Him.

So it’s understandable why an assault would be aimed at us,to DIS-ARM us. So we are not able to stand and go forward establishing the Kingdom in the hearts of men. Let’s awaken and shake ourselves,so we can stand and go forward. This season to shall pass, but the promises of God are never changing. We are not alone, Jesus said,”In this world you will have tribulations [tests, trials, ups and downs] BUT be of good cheer,{at peace and so joyful}for I have over come the world.”John 16:33 We can stand if we stand in Him, believing His promises and trusting.                   sis c
